SARAH | RESPONSE TEAM VOLUNTEER

Sarah heard about the Embrace Foundation scrolling through TikTok a while back. She says, “It immediately grabbed my attention because I’ve never heard of a similar organization and I thought it was incredible. I know many diabetics who either have extra supplies to donate or are in need of supplies. Brandon posted on Instagram in August 2021 that they were looking for volunteers so I knew I had to join.” She has had type 1 diabetes for the past 12 years and has ever since been passionate about helping others who are like her. She is currently pursuing my masters in public health with an emphasis in health management and policy. In her future career, she hope to address skyrocketing prescription drug prices, racial inequality in healthcare, and patient advocacy.

A fun fact about her is that she is obsessed with houseplants. “I have about 30 at the moment and the collection continues to grow. They bring me so much joy.”
