Irene started volunteering with the Embrace Foundation in January 2022. Having family members dealing with diabetes, and being involved in diabetic research herself, she realized the importance of access to supplies in order to deal with the chronic disorder. She joined Embrace after hearing about them on TikTok to provide support to those dealing with the everyday realities of diabetes. In a world where we’ve made so many important advances in science and technology, no one should be limited access to supplies necessary for life. She hopes to continue playing a role in healthcare and advocacy in the future. Outside of Embrace, she enjoys reading, calligraphy and crafting of all sorts!
